Obituary for
Fannie Ruth Carr
Mrs. Ruth Carr passed away peacefully in the early morning of April 18, 2016 at the age of 90. She was born on August 29, 19025 to Ellery Earl and Ruby Pearl Watson Gentry who preceded her in death. Ruth's husband, Albert Lee Carr, a disabled World War ll veteran also preceded her in death in 1959 Her grandson, Albert Carr, son of Burt and Kay Carr, also preceded her in death. She is survived by her three beloved sons, Burt, Mike and Jeff Carr.Burt's wife Kay Carr was of great comfort to her in her last years. She has one living grandson, Michael Carr, son of Mike Carr and one step-granddaughter, Ashley, daughter of Jeff and Cindy Carr. She has two great grandsons, Drake Carr and Dylan Keele sons of Albert Carr. Ruth survived the Great Depression, was a bomber riveter in World War ll, and she raised three sons mostly by her self. Ruth loved to talk about her mom and dad, politics, spiritual subjects, family history, play the piano, loved planting trees and talk about helping the environment. Ruth was highly ethical and loved her country. She taught her sons to be self-reliant, strong and that they could be anything they wanted to be. Ruth will be missed and dearly remembered by her family. There will be a private family service with burial to follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
