Carolyn Sue Esselman
Carolyn Sue Esselman age 66, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, at her home. She was born June 2, 1949, daughter of Ralph E. and Lois E. Faurote McDaniel. On January 4, 1969, in Indianapolis, Indiana she was married to Ronald J. Esselman and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2003. Carolyn worked for Waterloo Industries for 19 years, before retiring as an auto-welder. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church parish. Carolyn enjoyed collecting angels and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by a son, John D. Esselman (Melissa) of Sedalia; two daughters, Sharon K. McMannama (Christopher) of Warsaw and Kimberly D. Hagan (Richard) of Sedalia; one brother James Ayers; four sisters, Glenda Bowman, Nancy Durham, Vicki Jones and Ellen Ferguson all of Indianapolis, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her father Ralph E. McDaniel (1992); her mother Lois E Faurote McDaniel (2011); and her brother Ronnie E. McDaniel (1997). There will be a Celebration Of Life for Carolyn Sue Esselman at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home per her request with Father Mark Miller C.PP.S. officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be John Esselman, Chris Hundley, Billy Esselman, Ryan Rains, Cody McMannama, Jacob Esselman, R.J. Hagan and Dylan Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Hagan, Austin Zimmerman and Jesse Munday. Carolyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Calvary Cemetery in Sedalia.
