Anna Marie Bellamy
Anna Marie Bellamy age 95 of Sedalia died on Monday January 9, 2017 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on October 24, 1921 in Pettis County daughter of Madison Benton and Eunice Wasson McMullin. On May 9, 1942 in Sedalia she married Russell Leon Bellamy and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1988. She went to Smelser Grade School which was a one room school house and then graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1940. She worked at Lamy Mgf. Co and then for Town & Country Shoe Co. until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sedalia where she worked in the Nursery, taught Sunday School Class and was on the Bereavement Committee. She also was a member of The Jolly Elders and Bothwell Auxiliary from 1985 until December of 2015. She was proud of the fact she was top sales person for tickets sold for the ice cream social. She enjoyed playing domino's, cooking, traveling and taking care of her home. Anna Marie loved spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter Donna Peakes of Sedalia and one son; Russell D. Bellamy of Independence, four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews. Besides her husband she was preceded by her parents, one sister; Nona Redden, four brothers; Herman McMullin, Lawrence McMullin, Byron McMullin and Jesse McMullin. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 12, 2017 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Doyle Sager officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Eckerle, Roger Eckerle, Joe Eddie Eckerle, Matt McMullin, Ben McMullin, Clint McMullin and Cole McMullin.
