Myrtle Virginia Caton
Myrtle "Virginia" Caton age 87 of Sedalia died on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. Virginia was born on May 18, 1929 in La Monte, daughter of Delbert H. and Fannie M. Wetmore Neiberger. On July 7, 1947 in Sedalia she married "The Love Of Her Life" Earl Thomas Caton and he preceded her in death on May 11, 1994. Virginia graduated from Smith-Cotton High School. She worked at Town & Country Shoe Company where she later retired from. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, cooking, playing Bingo and she loved visiting with family and friends. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Pat Wilfong of Otterville, Marsha Whitfield of Sedalia, Janet Dewey of Sedalia, Jennifer Goss of Eldon and Helen Schrader of Smithton, three nephews, James Rennison of Sedalia, Robert Caton of Lincoln and Bobby Caton of Otterville, one sister, Mary Estes of Sedalia, one sister-in-law, Cora Lea Caton of Otterville. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday February 3, 2017 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Jeff Page officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Thursday, February 2, 2017. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Wolfe, Jimmy Wilfong, Matt Wilfong, Mike Wilfong, Jim Whitfield, Bobby Caton, Robert Caton, Lester Caton and James Rennison. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank Fair View Nursing Home for taking care of Virginia the past five years and also to Crossroads Hospice for their care.
