Kay Lamarr Green (Robinson)
Kay Lamarr Green age 80 of Sedalia died on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home. She was born on January 19, 1937 in Warrensburg, Missouri daughter of Joe and Sylvine Joan Robinson Whitfield. On November 23, 1963 in Warrensburg she married Samuel Green and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1986. Kay graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1955. She worked as a home health aide for many years with Homemakers Home Health Care. Kay was a member of Parkview Christian Church in Sedalia. She enjoyed sewing and making wedding and bridesmaid dresses, reading her Bible, reading murder mysteries and playing board games. Kay loved her family, especially her grand children and great grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters; Diana Elmlinger (Patrick) of Sedalia and Alice Green (Danny) of Jonesburg, Missouri, one sister; Carole Molder of Sedalia, Ten grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded by two daughters; Mendolin Fay Tripp and Cheryl Libby, one brother Gerald Whitfield, her mother Sylvine Joan Perkins and her wonderful stepfather Carlton Perkins.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Parkview Christian Church with Rev. Rodney Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
