Katherine Alice Azar
Katherine Alice (Barrowclough) Azar was born on November 6, 1939 in Patterson, New Jersey to Charles and Doris Howard Barrowclough. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 27, 2016 in Bolivar, Missouri after loosing her battle with cancer, with her family by her side.
Katherine is lucky in life in that she is survived by all her children. Kelly Kreisel and Randy of Versailles, George Azar of Springfield, MO, Nicholas Azar and wife Angela of Sedalia, Ellen Warren and husband David of Versailles, Evon Shipman and husband Clifford of Osceola, MO, Jamie Azar and long life partner Brooke Baldelli of Osceola, MO, 18grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a half sister Sharon Willett, and a numerous number of children that called her either mom or grandma. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, George Nicholas Azar, her parents, including her father who was killed in W W ll, one grandson Daniel Mittenburg, two half sisters Darlene and Georgette.
Katherine loved life and enjoyed crocheting. You could always see her laughing. She adapted to every situation and was quick to tell you what was on her mind. She believed in fighting for what you believed in, no matter the cost and instilled this in her children.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Elvis Durrill officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Nicholas Azar, (son), Timothy Sheets (adopted son), grandsons, Ethan Warren, Aaron Azar, Nathan Shipman and Richard Matthews.
