John William Chaney
John William Chaney, 67, of Sedalia, died on April 30, 2017 at his home. He was born on November 16, 1949 in Choctaw, Alabama, the son of Illie and Donnie Lee Rodgers Chaney, Jr.
On May 16, 1983 in Sedalia, John married Ada Darlene Willis Bethea and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2017. John graduated school in Detroit, Michigan. He served his country faithfully as a veteran in the United States Air Force. He worked for the Sedalia Public School as a cook and cooking was something John enjoyed doing very much throughout his life.
He is survived by two daughters; Shanita Bradley of Birmingham, Michigan and Consuerella Edward of Southfield, Michigan, one son; Jonathan Chaney of Macon, Georgia, one sister; Brenda Adams James of Faraland, Alabama, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2810 East Broadway Blvd in Sedalia with Elder Willie Jenkins officiating. Full Military Honors by V.F.W. Post 2591 and the Air Force.
