Georgia Glazebrook
Georgia Viola Glazebrook, 92, of Warrensburg, formerly of Sedalia, died Saturday, March 26, 2017, at the Country Club Care Center, Warrensburg, Mo. She was born February 12, 1925, in Welch, Oklahoma, daughter of Thomas and Esther Harlan McBrien. On March 27, 1943, in Coffeyville, Kansas, she married Eugene Glazebrook who died December 21, 2000. Her life was marked by a constant giving, of herself and talents. She volunteered as a leader in Girl Scouts, 4-H, and Extension Club. She served in PTA, Choir, Nursing Home Ministry and as a music director of her church. As a longtime member of Flat Creek Extension Club she was named Pettis County Homemaker in 1989. Mrs. Glazebrook was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and had worked for Lamy's Manufacturing for many years. She also worked with her husband on their farm. Survivors include two daughters, Gayle McVay and husband George David, Warrensburg, Mo; Glenda Faye Beardmore, Columbia, Mo; two sisters, Thelma Passmore, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Beverly Odell, Flat Rock, Michigan; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Jean Surface five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with the Rev. Corbett Martin officiating. The family will have a private burial. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be George David McVay, Doug Beardmore, Mitch Walker, Kaitlin Beardmore, Desiree Beardmore, Don Lillard, Jason Kindle and Debbie Pyron.
