Christine Hope (Arnett) Wallen
Christine Hope (Arnett) Wallen age 94 of Sedalia, died on July 21, 2016. She was born on April 5, 1922 in Green Ridge, daughter of Elias H. and Gladys Denny Arnett. On April 20, 1946 in La Monte she married Eugene Wallen and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1982. Christine was a member of Camp Branch Baptist Church. She graduated from Green Ridge School. Christine worked at Rice Leghorn Farm, Golden Valley Hatchery, American Products at Parkville, Missouri, Chrysler Corporation in the Fairfax District in Kansas City, Kansas and also Rival Manufacturing Company in Sedalia. Over the years she lived in Parkville, MO, Ottawa, KS, Clinton, MO, Sedalia, MO, Park Forest, IL, Rolling Meadows, IL and later returned to Sedalia. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother; Eldon Arnett. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Ayers officiating. Friends may call after 9:00 A.M. Monday, July 25, 2016 with the family receiving friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
