Emma Catherine Davis, 90, of Sedalia, died Friday morning October 7, 2016 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born February 23, 1926, in Sedalia, Missouri daughter of Alfred Paxton and Jewel Woolery. She married Finis Dale Davis who preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis worked for Town and Country Shoe Company. She was a caring and loving person who took care of her family. Survivors include her son Reginald Jones, Sedalia; a sister, Helen Brand, Pilot Grove, Missouri; three brothers, John Paxton, Hannibal, Mo; Larry Paxton, Sedalia; Roy Paxton, Sedalia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Frances Lacy, five brothers, Paul Paxton, Robert Paxton, William Paxton, David Paxton and Jimmy Paxton. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Crown Hill Cemetery with the Pastor Don Satterwhite officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
