Glenn M. "(Perky)" Perkins
Glenn M. (Perky) Perkins, 72, of Sedalia, died Friday evening, March 17, 2017, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center, in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born, December 15, 1944, in Pleasant Green, Missouri, son of John Lewis Perkins and Annabel Cooper. On November 23, 1985, in Sedalia, he married Carol Gaertner who survives of the home. Mr. Perkins attended Maplewood Church and was a member of the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club and the NRA. He had retired from Pittsburgh Corning and had also worked for Rival Manufacturing and ABM. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, working on cars and spending time with his kids and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Carol Perkins, of the home; two sons, Paul Glenn Perkins and wife Sheila, of Otterville, Mo; John Lynn Perkins, Sedalia; a daughter Peggy Sue Garrison, Sedalia; two sisters, Shirley Harmon, Boonville, Missouri; Joyce Dodson, Boonville, Missouri and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with the Dr. Eddie Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Travis Perkins, Tyler Perkins, Trace Garrison, Dave Gaertner, Doug Mullins and Lewis Egan.
